The Mark Moore Gallery was the site for Japanese artist Kenichi Yokono’s first major exhibition since Art Basel in 2009. Rise of the Underground featured more of his signature carved woodblocks as well as the incorporation of several skate decks into his new works. The pieces showcase Yokono’s attention to detail as well as his evolution as an artist. Joining him was Jermey Fish, who similarly utilized wood cuts, crafting exquisite and imaginative pieces of pop art. Rise of the Underground runs through December 17.
